Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time semester-to-semester non-benefited MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions. This posting is for a candidate pool for anticipated vacancies for the 2023-2024 school year. This position is onsite in the classroom. Applicants must be available at least two days per week and available between 8:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Teaches a standard range of courses expected in the first two years of a degree program in the field.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (including but not limited to):

• Conducts classes.
• Prepares for instruction.
• Assesses student performance.
• Provides student assistance by appointment.
• Engages in professional development and required trainings.
• Attends a limited number of faculty meetings.

• Masters degree within the field or 18 credits of graduate level work specific to the field.
• College teaching experience high school teaching experience or adult education experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful community college teaching experience.
• Commitment to fostering inclusiveness equity and diversity within the academic setting.
• Teaching experience with Early College students or at the High School level.
• Commitment to the mission of the community college.
• Experience building and facilitating asynchronous or hybrid courses using a standard learning management system.
