    Reports to: Director of Technical Services
    Department: Technology

    Primary Purpose
    Work cooperatively with end-users to detect and resolve hardware and software problems. Respond to Help Desk
    tickets by diagnosing and repairing information technology (IT) issues. Perform onsite technical work to install and
    maintain computer equipment software applications for campuses assigned. Work cooperatively with other Support
    Technicians to clean maintain relocate and repair district technology equipment. Invest time to learn a trade that may
    lead to an opportunity to take on added responsibility. Assist with training Student Technicians during summer work
    hours and work periods during the school year.


    Qualifications:
    Education/Certification
    High school diploma
    Clear and valid Texas drivers license insurable with insurance carrier and a good driving record preferred
    Knowledge/Skills
    Dependable responsible and trustworthy
    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
    Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
    Ability and willingness to diagnose research test and resolve technical or technology-related problems
    Ability to adapt integrate and modify existing programs or vendor-supplied packaged programs for use with
    existing information systems as needed
    Ability to use programming procedures and techniques in the implementation of computer programs
    Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds stoop kneel crouch walk twist bend climb drive and/or be mobile
    Broad knowledge of computer hardware software applications various operating systems and networks
    preferred


    Experience:
    Minimum 1 year work experience installing maintaining & repairing computers mobile devices peripherals &
    network infrastructure preferred


    Major Responsibilities and Duties:
    1. Report to work on time daily and follow District attendance policies (With prior approval from
    Director/Supervisor report all absences to Supervisor via the appropriate system.)
    2. Report to meetings on time.
    3. Exhibit and promote positive professional attitude attire and communication at all times.
    4. Be available and visible during the workday to provide technology support and update tickets adequately.
    5. Work cooperatively with end-users to detect and resolve hardware and software problems including; but not
    limited to current Windows macOS iOS tvOS Linux and other district applications.
    6. Provision and deploy beginning of year and new enrollee mobile devices accounts and software applications
    7. Collect and maintain mobile devices for end of year collection repairs updates and report lost or stolen
    devices
    8. Maintain open computer labs mobile computer labs tablet carts and inventory on a regular basis.
    9. Install inventory and maintain presentation devices such as TVs projectors TV stands mounts for classroom
    instructions or digital signage
    10. Maintain digital signage hardware
    11. Coordinate with campus test coordinators and administrators to provide and maintain digital online testing environments
    12. Deploy and maintain safety applications for Texas Alyssas law compliance visitor check in/out machines
    13. Install maintain and assign campus printers copiers and complete ongoing maintenance tasks related to
    printing devices
    14. Maintain and manage dismissal hardware for student end of day pickup
    15. Provide prompt resolution for Help Desk tickets and follow the tech support process closing and/or updating
    tickets within 48 hours.
    16. Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of all equipment on campus and follow inventory procedures
    updating the inventory system as changes occur.
    17. Communicate daily with the District Tech(s) Specialist(s) Coordinator(s) and Director(s) as needed and work
    collaboratively with them to complete technology tasks.
    18. Comply with policies established by federal and state law State Board of Education rule and local board policy.
    19. Occasionally drive District vehicles in performance of tasks assigned by the Director or Supervisor.
    20. Other duties as assigned by the Director or Supervisor.


    Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
    Equipment Used: Hand tools ladders/step stools phone computer printer projector fax machine and other
    computer and audio/visual peripherals
    Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; regular kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
    Motion: Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular walking grasping/squeezing
    wrist flexion/extension reaching; may climb ladders
    Lifting: Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 40 pounds); occasional heavy lifting (41 pounds and over)
    Environment: Exposure to electrical hazards; occasional prolonged and irregular hours
    Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
