Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for completion of the following items in addition to those listed in the Job Description (see above).

  • Assist in promoting positive school relations with students staff parents community members and various agencies.
  • Communicate school and district policies and procedures to students staff and visitors.
  • Aid security prevention and operations including regular building checks and routine security procedures and drills.
  • Assist school resource deputy and school administrators in providing a safe educational environment.
  • Conduct site safety assessments to determine facility security concerns and needs.
  • Monitor students within a variety of school environments; classrooms hallways bathrooms parking lots etc.
  • Escort students to appropriate location(s).
  • Assist in conducting searches as requested.
  • Operate technical equipment such as two-way radios computers surveillance software camera etc.
  • Aid in investigation of reported or observable violations of school policy local state or federal laws.
  • Assist in maintaining the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Monitor student activities on the playground and lunchroom.
  • Will utilize district software programs including; Skyward Word Excel and SMI.
  • Maintain appropriate student records and other records as directed.
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
  • Required to have a current First Aid/CPR Card.
  • Must be able to provide proof of immunization if born on or after 1/1/1957.
