Job Summary
Special Training needed:
This position requires a very detailed oriented individual with excellent verbal and written skills. The position will also require the ability to work well with all types of personnel as well as drawing and specification interpretation. This position requires experience in handling device calibration
Experience required:
Three years minimum experience in an NC machine manufacturing environment.
Must have at minimum one year of relevant experience in device calibration as well as use and application of such equipment (i.e. calipers micrometers thread plug / ring gages height stands test indicators etc.).
Description of Job Duties:
This position is responsible for providing control and calibration of precision devices gages and equipment used for acceptance verification of manufactured product.
Tests calibrates and repairs electrical mechanical electromechanical recording and indicating instruments and equipment
for conformance according to prints schematics technical manuals and other applicable specifications.
Set up standards and equipment to test evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
Disassembles instruments and/or equipment using hand tools and inspects equipment for defects.
Measures parts for conformity using micrometers calipers and other precision instruments.
Aligns repairs replaces component parts and circuitry.
Reassembles and calibrates instruments and equipment
for conformance according to prints schematics technical manuals and other applicable specifications.
