CADD Technician (55328)

The Mechanicsburg PA office of Modjeski and Masters Inc. National Bridge Group is seeking a CADD Technician preferably with 4 years of bridge engineering drafting experience but will consider entry level applicants as well.

• CADD Technician with knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD drafting software
• Experience in 3D modeling in the BIM environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other team members
• Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information with co-workers and other team members
• Associate Degree in Engineering Drafting and Design (Preferred)

• Draft plans and detailed drawings for transportation projects such as bridges and highways working from sketches or notes
• Develop 3D models of bridges and associated structures establish and maintain a BIM work environment consistent with client requirements
• Draw maps diagrams and profiles using cross-sections and surveys to represent elevations topographical contours subsurface formations and structures
• Review rough sketches drawing specification and other engineering data received from engineers to develop into contract plans
• Perform reviews of shop drawings and other construction submittals for conformance with design specifications and drawings
• Calculate pay item quantities
• Maintain Technically current methodologies
• Acquire and apply new knowledge to assignments and tasks
• Perform additional tasks assignments and duties as assigned
