Job Summary
The Mechanicsburg PA office of Modjeski and Masters Inc. National Bridge Group is seeking a CADD Technician preferably with 4 years of bridge engineering drafting experience but will consider entry level applicants as well.
- CADD Technician with knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD drafting software
- Experience in 3D modeling in the BIM environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other team members
- Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information with co-workers and other team members
- Associate Degree in Engineering Drafting and Design (Preferred)
- Draft plans and detailed drawings for transportation projects such as bridges and highways working from sketches or notes
- Develop 3D models of bridges and associated structures establish and maintain a BIM work environment consistent with client requirements
- Draw maps diagrams and profiles using cross-sections and surveys to represent elevations topographical contours subsurface formations and structures
- Review rough sketches drawing specification and other engineering data received from engineers to develop into contract plans
- Perform reviews of shop drawings and other construction submittals for conformance with design specifications and drawings
- Calculate pay item quantities
- Maintain Technically current methodologies
- Acquire and apply new knowledge to assignments and tasks
- Perform additional tasks assignments and duties as assigned
