Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Specialist to support engineering design and drafting projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating modifying and maintaining technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and other CAD software. This role requires strong attention to detail the ability to interpret technical specifications and collaboration with project managers engineers architects and field personnel.
Essential Responsibilities
Create revise and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings layouts and technical documentation.
Interpret engineering sketches specifications redlines and design concepts to produce accurate drawings.
Ensure all drawings comply with company standards industry requirements and project specifications.
Perform quality control reviews of drawings and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain organized electronic drawing files and document control procedures.
Coordinate with engineering project management operations and field teams to incorporate design changes.
Update as-built drawings and project documentation as required.
Assist with project planning drafting support and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate project status design updates and potential issues to stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Associate degree technical certification or equivalent experience in Drafting CAD Technology Engineering Technology or a related field.
3 years of CAD drafting/design experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of drafting standards technical drawings and design documentation.
Experience working with engineering construction manufacturing architectural or industrial projects.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Revit SolidWorks Inventor MicroStation or other 3D modeling software.
Experience creating and maintaining as-built drawings.
Knowledge of construction industrial oil & gas manufacturing or infrastructure environments.
Experience with document management systems and engineering change processes.
Familiarity with industry codes standards and best practices.
