CAD Drafter

Are you detail-oriented technically minded and passionate about creating accurate high-quality drawings Delaware Elevator is looking for a CAD Drafterto join our team! In this role youll transform project specifications and design requirements into detailed 2D drawings that support our engineering and project teams.

Whether you bring hands-on AutoCAD experience or a bachelors degree in Engineering this is an opportunity to apply your technical skills collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute to projects from concept through completion.

What Youll Do

• Create & Develop: Prepare detailed 2D drawings and plans based on project specifications and design requirements.
• Collaborate: Work with engineers architects project managers and other team members to develop and refine technical drawings.
• Ensure Accuracy: Review drawings for quality completeness and compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Revise & Improve: Incorporate feedback from project managers and clients to ensure drawings meet project needs.
• Stay Organized: Maintain accurate drawing logs templates and project documentation.
• Meet Deadlines: Support project scheduling and ensure drafting assignments are completed on time.
• Support Custom Projects: Create specialized and custom drawings as needed.

What Were Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One of the following is required:
  • At least 3 years of hands-on AutoCAD experience or
  • A bachelors degree in Engineering prior professional work experience is not required.
• Additional drafting training or certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel Word and Outlook.
• Ability to read interpret and understand technical drawings and plans.
• Strong attention to detail organization and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Dependability punctuality and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
