Cable Technician

Pay Range: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience qualifications and skills.

Outsource is seeking a motivated Cable Technician to join our team in Tampa Florida. This role is ideal for someone with at least a year of hands-on experience in cable installation maintenance or repair who is ready to take on a variety of field assignments. The ideal candidate is reliable detail-oriented and comfortable working independently or as part of a crew in both residential and commercial settings.

Job Responsibilities

• Install inspect and repair coaxial and fiber optic cabling for residential and commercial customers
• Troubleshoot signal issues and resolve connectivity problems in a timely manner
• Set up and configure cable boxes modems and related equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on cable infrastructure to prevent service interruptions
• Document work orders service calls and equipment installations accurately
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain services performed and address questions
• Follow safety protocols when working with ladders bucket trucks and electrical systems

Qualifications

• 1 years of experience in cable installation telecommunications or a related field
• Working knowledge of coaxial fiber optic and Ethernet cabling systems
• Ability to use hand tools testing equipment and cable installation tools
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $18.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience qualifications and project requirements
• Weekly pay
