Job Overview:
As a Low Voltage Technician specializing in structured cabling and security systems you will be responsible for the installation maintenance and service of low voltage infrastructure in high-rise buildingsoffice towers residential towers and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Structured Cabling & Infrastructure:
Install terminate and test fiber optic and copper cabling in new construction high-rise environments
Perform tenant improvements and troubleshoot existing cabling systems
Install racks patch panels wireless access points and network hardware
Build out IDF/MDF closets and install pathways using j-hooks ladder racks and innerduct
Ensure all cabling is clean organized labeled and in compliance with NEC ANSI/TIA and site standards
Interpret blueprints submittals and riser diagrams to execute cable pathways and device locations
Complete job documentation including timesheets daily reports and test results
Preferred Experience:
Experience working on commercial high-rise towers office complexes and large multi-floor projects
Fiber splicing and OTDR testing skills a plus
Termination of Cat5e Cat6 Cat6a and fiber (SC LC ST)
Proficiency in installing and labeling faceplates device IDs and cable trays
Familiar with finish work and trim-out in polished commercial interiors
Experience with security devices such as cameras access control panels and motion sensors is a plus
Requirements:
1 year of structured cabling or low voltage experience (willing to train entry-level candidates with the right attitude)
Must have a valid drivers license insurance and reliable transportation
Able to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders and lifts
Clean background and ability to pass a drug screen
Availability for 40 hours per week
