POSITION TITLE: Buying Intern
LOCATION: NYC office
JOB TYPE: Part-Time
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Fashion Buying Intern will support the Buying team with day-to-day operations including reporting order management and product data maintenance. This role provides hands-on exposure to buying merchandising inventory management and e-commerce. The intern will work closely with the VP of Buying and gain valuable experience in luxury fashion and retail operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the buying team with order entry
Create and distribute weekly reporting
Assist the VP of buying with vintage buying and maintenance in POS system
Manage the product uploads and turn-ins for FarFetch business
Conduct competitive market and trend research to identify emerging fashion and consumer trends.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses to support assortment planning and buying strategies.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work at least 3-4 days a week in office
Experience in Excel
Pursuing a degree in Fashion Merchandising Buying or equivalent industry experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task to succeed in a fast-growing team-oriented environment
A Strategic thinker with a result-focused approach
SALARY: $17.00/hour
