Buyer/Planner (Supply Chain/Material Planning Exp Req) Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Buyer/Planner to add to their Purchasing Department team in Minneapolis MN. Buyer/Planner (Supply Chain/Material Planning Exp Req) Responsibilities

Build material plans aligned to demand variability based on historical usage forecasts trends
Anticipate demand shifts and adjust plans accordingly through collaboration with internal teams
Maintain optimal inventory levels across 8000 active SKUs
Manage safety stock and re-order points using ERP/MRP systems for material replenishment
Communicate with suppliers about material requirements delivery schedules and changes
Align production schedules material availability and customer delivery commitments
Support kitting staging and replenishment for engineered assemblies and configured products
Manage accurate planning parameters in ERP systems
Participate in SIOP meetings; contribute to scenario planning and cross-functional alignment
Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy inventory health and ERP system utilization
Liaise with Sales Customer Service Operations and Engineering on priorities and timelines

Buyer/Planner (Supply Chain/Material Planning Exp Req) Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering or related field required
3 years material planning inventory control or production planning experience required
CPIM certification or willingness to obtain within first year of employment required
MRP/ERP system experience required
Excel and data analysis tools experience required
