Job Summary
Job Description: Responsible for leading specific sourcing strategies cost reduction supply and risk mitigation in support of clients Retail Operations.
Specific Duties: Provide the Supply Center with information and assistance for all Procurement activities related to the stores. Developing excellent relationships with all store operations personnel.
Understand all the Supply Chain Roles as they relate to the Supply Centers. Be able to assist supply center personnel either directly or by referring them to the appropriate person.
Provide support for other members of the Supply Chain Department by learning and cross training within the group and fostering a team environment.
Identify trends in markets that will affect availability quality and cost of retail items.
Develop effective sourcing strategy for assigned items that reduce cost secure supply and minimize supply chain disruptions.
Manage and maintain Purchase Information Records. Work with accounting to maintain accurate costing.
Work with accounting department to analyze and correct errors related to purchase orders billing and costing.
Develop strong relationships with suppliers. Evaluate and report on supplier performance and periodically meet with suppliers to review.
Prepare and process purchase orders based on current Reorder Point System and other needs.
Monitor Reorder Points adjusting as necessary and determining what items can be added to the ROP system at the retail level.
Monitor inventories and incoming materials to ensure inventory is correct and received on time.
Analyze inventory and demand for opportunities to move inventory between stores to optimize need for outside purchases.
Provide monthly reporting to management on current pricing and future cost forecasts.
Research potential new sources of supply for current stocked items and provide options of supply for new items.
Perform all duties in accordance with clients Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree or commensurate experience in Procurement.
SAP/MRP Experience required
Excellent interpersonal time management and organizational skills.
Basic understanding of accounting.
Ability to solve problems and propose solutions.
Attention to detail.
Strong Analytic Skills.
Ability to work independently.
Computer / Data Entry skills knowledge of Excel and Word and SAP.
Ability to travel.
In office onsite required
Valid Drivers License with acceptable Driving Record.
