Milacron is looking for a Buyerto join our team in McPherson this position you will be responsible for procuring materials for APPT Machinery managing inventory planning supporting production schedules and coordinating supply chain activities to ensure product availability and on-time Youll Do:Support management initiatives focused on cost reduction quality improvement and delivery material procurement activities and manage purchase orders based on MRP inventory levels and maintain appropriate safety stock reorder points and min/max and communicate forecast plans with sales supply chain and manufacturing with sales and product management to validate demand forecasts and inventory item master data branch plant records and ABC classifications by interplant warehouse transfers and identify potential product and respond to MRP messages to ensure a consistent flow of late missing or incorrect orders and resolve delivery pricing and quality concerns with supplier drop shipments support engineering change releases and create work orders to balance supply and :High school diploma or GED degree in a supply chain-related field and at least 2 years of buying/planning experience or a minimum of 3 years of related experience knowledge of supply chain written and verbal communication to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of the to work successfully in a cross-functional with Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel PowerPoint and to analyze inventory forecasting and procurement data to support business to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical requirements associated with a manufacturing environment.
