Summary

The Buyer II plays a key role in managing inventory levels and supporting centralized branch operations. Thisposition is responsible for maintaining product availability optimizing inventory performance and buildingstrong vendor relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Essential Job Functions

  • Execute purchasing strategies in alignment with company policies and inventory goals
  • Manage purchase orders including order placement tracking and expediting shipments
  • Maintain accurate product and pricing data
  • Monitor inventory levels reorder points and safety stock to maintain high fill rates
  • Review stock reports and adjust purchasing decisions as needed
  • Resolve issues related to shipping errors damaged goods and pricing discrepancies
  • Manage returns including obsolete and slow-moving inventory
  • Communicate product pricing and vendor updates to internal teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
  • Work with Purchasing Manager to support negotiations on pricing terms and supply agreements
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to support operational goals


Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • 2 years of purchasing inventory management or supply chain experience(preferred)
  • High school diploma and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred

Competencies

  • Electrical product and applications buying knowledge preferred.
  • PC skills to include excel access keyboarding and word processing.
  • Accuracy communication management and relationship skills telephone skills and negotiation skills.
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
