Buyer

• Prepare and distribute RFQs to qualified suppliers
• Initiate and lead cost-saving initiatives
• Work with suppliers and analyze pricing in order to find cost effective solutions
• Purchase all services and supplies including Factory Stores through approved requisition and/or Factory Stores order report utilizing spot buy purchase orders and/or consignment and blanket purchase orders.
• All goods/services are negotiated processed and expedited in conjunction with operations requirements.
• Reconcile A/P weekly to insure accurate/receipts.
• Enter all Purchase Orders into system and maintain files with backup information
• Expedite and track orders as necessary
• Up to 10% travel in order to meet with suppliers

Qualifications

• A minimum 3-5 years of procurement / buyer experience in a manufacturing setting
• Proven track record of accountability and achievement.
• Thorough knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Must have strong computer skill (MS Excel Power Point Word)

US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts.
