Business Team Leader

Job Summary
You will lead a multi-disciplinary customer-focused business team to deliver program objectives and ensure contract and schedule commitments are met. You will influence cross-functional priorities and work closely with Program Management Contract Administration Customer Service and external customers. Onsite at a manufacturing division site.
- Lead project teams overseeing complex government contracts and ensure consistent approaches and alignment across programs.
- Define projects and outcome measures for cross-functional teams tied to major business programs.
- Establish and implement tactical and operational plans to achieve division objectives.
- Serve as the customer-to-company liaison on program performance and respond to significant customer inquiries.
- Direct development of major proposals and participate in contract negotiations impacting sales and earnings.
- Provide program status reporting identify and resolve potential problems and ensure contractual and schedule compliance.
- Advise site staff on program performance and contractual obligations; set priorities across multiple projects.
- Lead process improvements training and rollout efforts to institutionalize changes.
- Bachelors degree in engineering business administration program management or a similar discipline.
- Eight (8) or more years of progressive experience in program management business development or manufacturing operations.
- Four or more years of team and project leadership experience with advanced planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and relevant government contracting regulations and clauses.
- Proficiency with program management concepts tools risk management earned value techniques and critical path analysis.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to identify high-risk contract terms.
- Strong financial acumen related to project cost and budgetary planning/control.
- Proficiency with standard software (e.g. Microsoft Office SAP) project management and database analysis tools.
- Advanced degree or professional project management certification (desired).
$140k to $150k/year
