Business Systems Analyst

This is a remote position.

• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders.
  

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  

• Analyze data from databases applications and business systems.
  

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and validate data.
  

• Create data mappings data dictionaries and process documentation.
  

• Work with developers data engineers and database teams to implement solutions.
  

• Perform data validation reconciliation and quality checks.
  

• Support data integration migration and transformation projects.
  

• Create reports dashboards and data visualizations when needed.
  

• Investigate data/system issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  

• Develop test cases and participate in system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  

• Document workflows business rules system requirements and system changes.
  

• Communicate findings and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders.
  

• Support production systems and troubleshoot issues after implementation.
  

• SQL usually one of the most important skills.
  

• Relational databases such as SQL Server Oracle PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  

• Excel including PivotTables XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP formulas and data analysis.
  

• Business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  

• Understanding of data warehouses ETL/ELT APIs and data integration.
  

• Familiarity with data modeling and database concepts.
  

• Experience with Jira Confluence Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  

• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  

• Basic knowledge of programming or scripting such as Python can be beneficial.
  

• Requirements gathering and analysis.

• Functional requirements and user-story development.
  

• Process mapping and workflow analysis.

• Approximately 25 years of experience in business analysis systems analysis data analysis or a related role depending on the position.
  

• Experience working with both business users and technical teams.
