Chatham University welcomes applications for the position of Business Systems Analystin our Information Technology department.
The Business Systems Analyst supports the institutions ongoing Workday implementation and transformation by helping functional departments and IT teams improve support and optimize business-critical systems. This entry-level role helps analyze business needs troubleshoot system issues support business processes test system changes and document solutions. As Workday continues to improve institutional operations this position helps ensure that systems are reliable user-friendly and aligned with the needs of students faculty staff and administrative departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with campus stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support configuration and maintenance of Workday business processes and workflows.
Assist in managing user roles access and permissions within enterprise systems.
Provide general support for enterprise applications including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Partner with technical teams to test and implement system updates enhancements and new features.
Develop and maintain system documentation including process documentation user guides and training materials.
Support data integrity by validating and monitoring system data for accuracy and consistency.
Ancillary support of other enterprise systems including the document management system and the room reservation system.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in Information Technology Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in business analysis IT support or systems administration.
Basic knowledge of Workday or other ERP systems (e.g. Banner PeopleSoft SAP).
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a higher education environment.
Familiarity with student systems and processes (admissions registration advising etc.).
Basic experience with reporting and data analysis tools or scripting languages.
Salary Range:
$55800 - 60000 annually. 40-hour work week.
