Business Intelligence Engineer, Amazon Freight

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer who is passionate about leveraging data to deliver actionable insights for Amazon Freight. Our ideal candidate is someone who has strong technical and analytical skills enjoys building a new business and the ambiguity that comes with that. You should thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and wont be hindered by ambiguity. Key job responsibilities
Generate insightful analysis reporting and data visualizations to answer critical business questions proactively identify notable trends and communicate business performance
Translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders while proactively identifying new areas of opportunity to drive further improvements
Apply expertise in data mining and modeling leveraging multiple data sources to uncover unique insights identify key performance drivers and build predictive models
Work backwards from your end-customer to define design and execute each work item with an emphasis on improved metrics productivity and efficiency
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity test design analysis validation and documentation

- 3 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift Oracle NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R SAS and Matlab
- 3 years of experience using excel for deep dive and provide actionable insight to stakeholders

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2 DynamoDB S3 and Redshift
- Experience in data mining ETL etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale complex datasets

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
