Business Intake Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
A team member of the Business Intake Compliance (BIC) Group which is a business unit of the Client Information Risk Services (CIRS) department. Responsible for reviewing analyzing categorizing tracking and maintaining the Firms collection of client relationship documents including engagement letters (ELs) outside counsel guidelines (OCGs) and other client engagement documents. Manages inquiries from attorneys and legal staff regarding ELs and OCGs and creates various standard and customized reports for same as needed. Performs various data changes as part of routine client/matter data management. Creates and provides various standard and custom reports regarding same as requested.

- Perform review analysis and categorization of ELs OCGs and other client relationship documents to ensure letters are prepared/sent in accordance with Firm policy; upload and track same in the Firms central document repository; respond to inquiries regarding same.
- Perform various types of data changes as part of routine client/matter data management. Actively communicate with data providers in instances of incomplete unclear or questionable data.
- Create and provide various standard and customized reports as requested.
- Provide guidance to lawyers paralegals and administrative staff on understanding the content and structure of reports as necessary.
- Actively interact and collaborate with team members to provide deliverables and service to the highest and sustainable level of quality and professionalism as defined by CIRS department and/or Firm standards.
- Communicate routinely with the Business Intake Compliance (BIC) Senior Manager regarding emerging issues or circumstances involving the BIC Group. Ensure issues are escalated timely.
- Actively assist and support the BIC Senior Manager in daily operations and functions.
- Attend and participate in BIC Group and/or CIRS team virtual meetings.
- Maintain awareness of trends developments and new technologies impacting the BIC Group.
- Participate in CIRS and/or Firm project teams/task forces in various initiatives.
- Assume additional duties and/or responsibilities as requested.
- Strong research analytical and reasoning skills including a demonstrated understanding of how data interrelates.
- Excellent and consistent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic legal terminology and ability to recognize and analyze different types of client engagement and compliance documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and explain to all levels of attorneys and staff in the Firm.
- Ability to effectively handle multi-task assignments within the parameters of the job functions and to perform in an environment of shifting turnaround deadlines.
- Reliable dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service orientation; positive and proactive manner.
The pay range for this remote position varies by location. Pursuant to the applicable state and local regulations the pay range for each location is listed below. Actual compensation is contingent on relevant experience education skills and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and the benefits described below.
