Job Summary

The BDR (Business Development Representative) is responsible for identifying new opportunities within the irrigation market that may generate sales opportunities for various products. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels. The BDR is expected to provide qualified leads to the Sales Team for further pursuit.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying opportunities that may be suitable for any of the available products for distribution into the irrigation market throughout the United States.
  • Responsible for improving the product portfolio ensuring alignment with market need.
  • Responsible for keeping the sales pipeline active with qualified leads.
  • Responsible for assisting the Sales Team with potential client introductions and meetings.
  • Follow up on all opportunities shared with the Sales Team to ensure the sales cycle is completed.
  • Travels frequently to establish contact and begin relationship building with potential customer base.
  • Conduct presentations introducing the company to new market partners and/or new product offerings to existing customers.
  • Manage and refine the process of lead generation and follow up; current system is HubSpot.
  • Study and identify competitors pricing activities new products and strengths/weaknesses
  • Suggest marketing activities to help penetrate new markets
  • Identify market needs and suggest solutions and product improvements
  • Remain aligned with the brands new market and new product initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales management
  • Strong history within the irrigation market
  • Ability to establish professional relationships efficiently
  • Flexibility for travel as needed and the ability to operate autonomously
  • Ability to connect with stakeholders of various levels (from field operators and contractors to consulting engineers)
  • Professional presentation and training skills
  • Driven and results oriented
