Responsibilities and Duties
The Business Associate (Finance & Operations) is responsible for the daily accounts payable purchasing and general school operations and compliance tasks. S/he will cultivate sharing and collaboration within the community and work to build a scalable and efficient finance/operational infrastructure providing exceptional service and support to our school ensuring their continued fiscal/operational success and working to support the schools mission and our high expectations for all.
Responsibilities of the Finance Associate include but are not limited to:
Payables & Receivables:
- Works with the business team to facilitate purchases while ensuring cost-savings abiding by internal state and federal purchasing laws.
- Reconcile credit/debit purchases and accounts receivable
- Generate and distribute Purchase Orders
- Input data into accounting and information systems
Business Operations:
- Work alongside our finance and operations team to drive annual priorities for the School
- Manage Monday/resources for the school finance/ops team
- Purchase school supplies/resources in compliance with fiscal procedures
- Ensure the school is adequately stocked with supplies and resources
- Obtain quotes for purchases
- Support with coordination of logistics and execution of several schoolwide operations such as food service transportation technology facilities events etc.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Fiscal Compliance:
- Ensures Food Service compliance and claims in accordance with the National School Lunch Reimbursement Program (NSLP) requirements
- Support with fiscal compliance grant compliance and state/federal reporting.

Desired and Required Experience
- Bachelors degree preferred preferably in management or operations.
- Background check passed required.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word Docusign and Adobe Pro
- Experience in working with teams and individuals to meet specific and strategic outcomes
- Strong written and oral communication collaboration interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing teams and delivering professional development
Compensation: Ambition Preparatory Charter School offers a competitive hourly range commensurate with experience.
