Airborne & Mission Solutions Business Area is looking for an intern for the summer. This position is an excellent opportunity for a college student looking to gain real business experience supporting work in the Defense segment of the company.
This position will require an individual with excellent adaptability organization and communication skills and is instinctively proactive in nature.
In this role the candidate will need to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment understand prioritization have attention to detail collaborate with internal stakeholders and handle multiple simultaneous tasks.
This position supports the Airborne & Mission Solutions Business Area in Defense sector this includes special project work in such areas as Contracts Business Development and Growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to the Airborne & Mission Solutions Business Area
- Assist Business Operations with project tasking action items as requested
- Data and document entry in different application platforms
- Coordinate and schedule meetings
- Accurate organized and punctual note taking abilities with after action report delivery
Basic Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field of study
US Citizenship Required
In good academic standing (GPA 2.5 or higher)
Proficient in MS Office 365 applications (Excel MS PowerPoint MS Word Outlook Teams)
Complete tasks individually and as a team participant
Have a basic understanding of business management terms
Strong desire and ability to keep organized
Candidate should be available 20-40 hours per week. Hours can vary based on workload and candidates school schedule
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to learn new software applications quickly
Experience with multiple software applications
Prefer candidates local to Reston VA. 25% telework. 75% local office work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Background in business with interest in business development and growth
