Description:

Analyze define and document requirements. Assist with the business case development analyze current state in terms of people process and product. Elicit requirements and critical success factors for improved future state. Analyze translate and simplify requirements. Develop conceptual or graphic prototypes and mockups. Design or review of test cases process change requests and manage project scope acceptance installation and some cases design scenario based test plan to validate the solution to determine if it has fulfilled the requirements and is usable. Serve as subject matter expert supporting the development or training and communications. Required skills include advanced business and technical writing skills process modelling cost benefit analysis understanding of systems engineering and change management concepts. Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required. MBA and CBAP a plus. Strong proficiency in MS Office including process flow diagramming.

  • Additional Job Details : The Business Analyst supports the design implementation and ongoing management of service offering...s in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) space helping ensure they remain secure reliable and aligned with university and regulatory policies. They collaborate with business stakeholders users vendors and technical teams to understand business priorities and user needs translate them into clear functional specifications and iteratively deliver maintainable solutions. This role contributes to product roadmaps testing documentation and training and provides hands-on product support to help resolve incidents and requests within defined SLAs. The Business Analyst also identifies opportunities for process and system improvements and stays current on industry trends product roadmaps and future role is part of the centralized Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) IAM team and will report to the IAM Associate Director who is the service owner for the Identity Data particular Business Analyst role will backfill the current permanent Business Analyst while they lead a one-year project. The assignment is expected to be approximately 12 months with the possibility of extension based on business needs and responsibilities:Support product management and the product development lifecycle including requirements elicitation and analysis writing Jira work items (stories bugs etc) coordinating development and testing with engineers and quality assurance and coordinating user acceptance testing of completed work as in the change management process by drafting and submitting change requests including describing the business justification and impact assessment and working with the change advisory board to facilitate change request the release process by scheduling releases ensuring engineers complete the release playbook running go-no go meetings updating change requests with release outcomes slide decks to update stakeholder groups on IAM the migration consolidation and rearchitecture of internal IAM documentation involving Google Drive Microsoft Sharepoint Confluence access audits for IAM general business analysis work across all IAM qualifications:Minimum of two years post-secondary education or relevant work experienceAdditional qualifications: Proven ability to establish and cultivate relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels Strong communication skills including the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand their business and operations requirements Excellent critical thinking skills and a flexible approach to problem solving Highly adaptable to a changing environment and priorities Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Basic SQL query and reporting knowledge
