Business Analyst I

Reporting to the Operations Leadership team the Business Analyst I supports the operations team by gathering and analyzing data documenting business requirements and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

This entry-level role collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable solutions that enhance efficiency compliance and overall performance within the New Jersey FamilyCare Managed Care Program.

• Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations IT QA and Training to support business initiatives and system enhancements

• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that system changes align with business requirements

• Create and maintain documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs) workflows and process maps

• Monitor and report on project progress including tracking risks issues and dependencies

• Coordinate with internal teams to support timely resolution of escalations

• Assist in analyzing current business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization

• Develop a working knowledge of organizational operations workflows and applicable policies and regulations related to the NJ FamilyCare Managed Care Program

• Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Teams)

• Ability to learn and perform technical tasks in a systems-driven environment

• Ability to work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM ET or 8:30 AM 5:00 PM ET

• Ability to work overtime

Preferred

• Up to 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst Systems Analyst or in a related role

• Familiarity with ticketing systems workflow tools or issue-tracking platforms

• Experience in healthcare government programs or eligibility/services environments

The estimated hourly rate for this role is $25.25 - $32.79.
