Dealership Building Maintenance Technician Job Description

A Dealership Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the dealerships buildings grounds equipment and overall facility appearance. This role helps ensure a safe clean and professional environment for customers and employees.

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs

• Maintain showroom offices service department and customer areas

• Repair or troubleshoot minor electrical plumbing HVAC and mechanical issues

• Replace light bulbs filters ceiling tiles and fixtures

• Conduct routine inspections of the facility and equipment

• Maintain dealership grounds including:

  • Lawn care

  • Snow removal

  • Salting sidewalks

  • Trash removal

• Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely

• Coordinate with outside contractors when needed

• Maintain cleanliness of parking lots entrances and service drive

• Set up and move furniture displays or equipment for events

• Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA guidelines

• Keep maintenance records and supply inventory

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous maintenance custodial or facility experience preferred

• Basic knowledge of:

  • Electrical systems

  • Plumbing

  • HVAC

  • Carpentry

• Ability to use hand and power tools

• Valid drivers license with clean driving record

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
