About you

As the Building Engineer you are a technical and engineering expert familiar with maintenance systems and equipment. You bring strong organizational skills a customer-centric approach and a positive outlook to everything you do.

Youll be responsible for all preventive maintenance necessary maintenance and repairs to the buildings mechanical electrical HVAC and plumbing systems ensuring the maintenance systems are running efficiently and to ensure the safety of our clients and their properties. You have a working knowledge of life safety fire protection and security systems to ensure proper operations and be able to act upon any conditions that are out of the ordinary.

You also understand how to develop and maintain strong relationships with property managers suppliers and department leaders. With a keen eye for detail youll be able to successfully manage multiple priorities and reports including inventory records and schedules.

In This Role You Will:

• Monitor maintain and troubleshoot HVAC electrical plumbing building automation and life-safety systems.

• Perform daily inspections preventive maintenance and respond to tenant service requests.

• Support the seasonal startup and shutdown of boilers cooling towers and related equipment.

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to complete repairs and maintenance.

• Manage parts inventory and maintain maintenance records.

• Assist with snow removal vendor escorts and emergency building needs.

• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.

• Collaborate with engineers property management and operations teams to ensure efficient building performance.

Approximate Compensation Range for this Role: $32.60/hour - $45.00/hour

Our compensation ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all national locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
