Action Property Management is seeking a skilled and dependable Building Engineer II to support the daily operations of our Marquee Park Place property in Irvine. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering professional with strong high-rise experience who takes pride in maintaining building systems responding to issues quickly and delivering excellent service to residents and clients.
Compensation: $45.00 - $47.00 per hour depending upon experience
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining correcting defencies and/or making repairs to all common areas within the Association
- Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the building ensuring compliance with HOA policies and regulations as required by code and regulatory enforcement agencies.
- Monitor and maintain optimum performance of all building systems to include mechanical electrical/electronic fire life safety smoke control security HVAC and water circulation system.
- Coordinate and interact with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely maintenance and repairs as well as adherence to quality standards.
- Plan and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of building systems.
- Collaborate with General Manager on modifications and improvements to building systems including control software to enhance efficiency and functionality.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of onsite high rise or mid-rise building engineer experience preferably in property management hospitality or commercial property management.
- Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Building Code; HOA experience is a plus.
- HVAC CertificationEPA/608 LicenseFire Pump Certificate preferredFire Life Safety Director Certificate preferredValid California Drivers License and Auto Insurance
- Hands-on electrical plumbing HVAC and painting experience.
- Experience in fire system management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player attitude.
- Availability by cell phone 24/7 for emergencies.
Certifications/Licenses Required
- HVAC Certification.
- EPA/608 License.
- Fire Pump Certificate preferred.
- Fire Life Safety Director Certificate preferred.
- Valid California Drivers License and Auto Insurance.
