Location:Lawrenceville GA
$90000 $112000 Bonus Full Benefits

A growing and well-established building automation and controls company is seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Estimator to join their team in Lawrenceville GA. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term career growth strong compensation and a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience estimating BAS HVAC controls low-voltage or electrical projects and possess strong technical knowledge of building automation systems controls integration and MEP drawings.

Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
4050 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Review architectural mechanical electrical and controls drawings specifications and bid documents to define project scope
  • Perform quantity take-offs for controllers field devices conduit/cabling and labor requirements
  • Develop detailed cost estimates Bills of Material (BOMs) and labor allocations using estimating software
  • Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing for specialty controls and installation services
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities to reduce project costs while maintaining system performance and specification compliance
  • Prepare proposals scope narratives inclusions/exclusions and pricing breakdowns
  • Participate in bid reviews project hand-off meetings and customer discussions
  • Maintain risk assessments for design gaps long-lead items integration complexity and cybersecurity considerations
  • Update historical pricing databases and labor productivity metrics based on completed projects
Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related technical field preferred
  • Experience estimating BAS HVAC controls electrical or low-voltage systems
  • Strong understanding of BAS platforms such as Niagara Siemens Johnson Controls Schneider Distech or Alerton
  • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings controls diagrams sequences of operation and network risers
  • Knowledge of BACnet Modbus and IP-based control networks
  • Proficiency with Excel and estimating software such as Accubid Sage Trimble or similar
  • Familiarity with RSMeans NECA or SMACNA labor units preferred
  • OSHA-10 certification preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
