Position at Pilgrims
Broiler Fat Puller
Purpose/Scope:
The individual selected for this position willbe responsible forworking in the field collecting and processing blood extracting fat samples swabbing birds collecting water collectingbacteria samples.Jobwill require driving a company vehicle.
Person must be able to perform the following:
Must have experience inbroilerpositions.
Must be willing to work all hours scheduled.
Must be capable of performing simple math.
Musthave good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to meet the following but not limited to essentialfunctions listed below with or without accommodation:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Routinely collects and process bloodcultureand tissue samples
Complete necessary paperwork tosubmitsamplestolaboratory
Assistin placement of pullet flocks
Collect blood fat and swabs for bird movements
Collecting water samples and other routine sampling
Qualifications: (Required/Desired)
Highly motivated
Able to lift a minimum of80pounds
Must have excellent driving record and current valid drivers license
Able to work in a hot high humidity dusty environment
May berequiredto work abnormal hours
Must be able to complete paperwork for laboratory submission of samples
Must have positive attitude and be able to work well with others
Excellent worksafetyand attendance record
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel).
Musthave good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to retrieve and handle bird bodily fluids.
Perform other duties as directed or assigned.
