Job Summary
Schaumburg & Polk Inc. (SPI) is seeking an experienced civil engineering leader to lead our Kyle office. This is an opportunity for a proven Project Manager or engineering leader to step into an executive role and help shape the growth culture and success of a growing branch.
- Lead the overall operations performance and growth of the Kyle office
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers and technical staff
- Oversee project delivery financial performance utilization and quality
- Build and strengthen client relationships and business development opportunities
- Lead recruiting staff development and succession planning
- Collaborate with SPIs executive leadership and other offices to support firm-wide growth
- Represent SPI with clients consultants and the community
- 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Proven success as a Project Manager delivering profitable high-quality projects
- Experience leading teams and developing other professionals
- Strong project financial management and business development skills
- Excellent communication leadership and decision-making abilities
- A desire to build a team grow a business and make an impact
This isnt simply a management position. Youll have the opportunity to help build the future of SPIs Kyle office. As a Vice President youll have a seat at the leadership table and the authority to make a meaningful impact on people projects clients and growth.
Requirements
- 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering
- Proven success as a Project Manager delivering projects on time within budget and profitably
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and developing professional staff
- Strong understanding of project financial management resource planning and quality control
- Proven business development and client relationship management experience
- Strong leadership communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to balance project delivery client service business development and overall office performance
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
