Job Summary

The Branch Ambassador is responsible for assisting new hires in getting acclimated to the company culture fostering a positive environment and providing ongoing support during their initial period of employment. Overall this position plays a crucial role in executing the Employee Experience Playbook and helping new employees feel welcomed and prepared for their roles within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the face of the company greeting and assisting new hires answering inquiries and providing information as necessary.
- Lead new employee tours encompassing comprehensive training on Health & Safety protocols.
- Collaborate with Branch leadership to facilitate new employee department placements and communicate with department leaders to ensure readiness for new hires.
- Conduct Day 1 Orientation for All Direct Hire employees and perform Ambassador duties based on designated employee key milestones thereafter.
- Verify accurate setup of all employees in Kronos system and collaborate with HR to rectify any discrepancies.
- Engage proactively in the Branch Culture Committee and contribute to organizing employee appreciation events.
- Provide daily updates to management and ensure effective execution of any changes.
- Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- All other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports.
Required Skills and Experience
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate motivate and influence individuals.
- Ability to swiftly adapt to changes and effectively implement new processes.
- Effective multitasking skills coupled with thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
- Competent in maintaining accurate and organized records.
- Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
- Sales and marketing mindset to champion the companys brand and enhance employee career opportunities.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office (Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution manufacturing technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus
- Ability to speak multiple languages
- Continuous improvement mindset
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment
- The ability to lift push and/or pull up to 50 lbs. if necessary
- The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time if necessary
- The ability to bend push pull twist and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity if necessary
