Job Description:
As a Power BI Publisher you will support enterprise data and analytics initiatives by migrating legacy reports and developing modern interactive dashboards using Power BI. You will play a key role in transforming existing reporting systems into scalable user-friendly analytics solutions while ensuring compliance with governance and accessibility standards. This role requires strong expertise in data modeling reporting and stakeholder collaboration to deliver actionable insights and high-quality data visualization solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate legacy reporting solutions to Power BI by developing equivalent or enhanced dashboards
• Design develop and maintain Power BI dashboards reports and data visualizations
• Provide production support including troubleshooting enhancements and issue resolution
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure compliance with data governance accessibility (ADA) and organizational standards
• Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports
• Develop consolidated reporting metrics and usage dashboards
• Contribute to workspace architecture security setups and version control processes
• Document development processes data models and reporting standards
• Optimize performance of Power BI reports and dashboards
• Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within deadlines

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI for dashboard and report development
• Advanced knowledge of SQL PL/SQL and working with Oracle databases
• Experience designing data visualizations including charts filters metrics and dashboards
• Experience migrating reports from legacy systems to modern BI platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to debug and resolve complex reporting and data issues
• Experience working with business stakeholders to gather and define reporting requirements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts in business terms
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines
• Experience with IBM Cognos reporting tools (preferred)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms (preferred)
• Knowledge of enterprise data management and analytics technologies (preferred)
• Experience in higher education or similar domain environments (preferred)

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
