- Operations:Safelyoperatetheboomtruck/cranetoliftpositionandplacematerialsorequipmentoftenintightspaces.
- Inspections&Safety:Performdailypre-andpost-operationinspectionsonthetruckhydraulicsystemsandrigginggear(slingscables)toensuresafety.
- Rigging:Secureloadsproperlyusingriggingtechniquestoprepareforhoisting.
- SiteLogistics:Readloadchartscalculatecranecapacitiesandfollowsitesupervisorinstructionsforpreciseplacement.
- Maintenance:Performroutinemaintenancesuchascleaninglubricatingandreportingmechanicalfaultspromptly.
- Compliance:Maintainaccuratecommercialdriverlogs(CDL)andcomplywithallOSHADOTandcompanypolicies.
WorkEnvironment
- Thereisconstantexposuretovariousweatherconditionstypicalinthestateswheretheworkisperformedincludingnoisedustandothermaterials.
- Theworkenvironmentisinareaswhereheavyequipmentpowertoolsandtrafficarepresent.
- Thereisexposuretoheightsupto50feetanddepthsofupto80feetinthisconstructionworkenvironment.
- Demonstrateorbecorrectedto20/20vision.

- Frequentlyrequiredtostandwalksitusehandstoinputinformationhandlecarry(withandwithoutassistance)feelobjectstools(ofvaryingsizeandweight)orcontrols.
- Frequentlyreachwithhandsandarmsclimbstairsbalancestoopkneelbendtwistcrouchorcrawltalkandhearandtasteorsmell.
- Specificvisionabilitiesrequiredbythejobincludeclosevisiondistancevisioncolorvisionperipheralvisiondepthperceptionandtheabilitytoadjustfocus.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- General knowledge of the heavy highway construction industry.
- General knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
- Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
