• Operations:Safelyoperatetheboomtruck/cranetoliftpositionandplacematerialsorequipmentoftenintightspaces.
• Inspections&Safety:Performdailypre-andpost-operationinspectionsonthetruckhydraulicsystemsandrigginggear(slingscables)toensuresafety.
• Rigging:Secureloadsproperlyusingriggingtechniquestoprepareforhoisting.
• SiteLogistics:Readloadchartscalculatecranecapacitiesandfollowsitesupervisorinstructionsforpreciseplacement.
• Maintenance:Performroutinemaintenancesuchascleaninglubricatingandreportingmechanicalfaultspromptly.
• Compliance:Maintainaccuratecommercialdriverlogs(CDL)andcomplywithallOSHADOTandcompanypolicies.

WorkEnvironment

• Thereisconstantexposuretovariousweatherconditionstypicalinthestateswheretheworkisperformedincludingnoisedustandothermaterials.
• Theworkenvironmentisinareaswhereheavyequipmentpowertoolsandtrafficarepresent.
• Thereisexposuretoheightsupto50feetanddepthsofupto80feetinthisconstructionworkenvironment.
• Demonstrateorbecorrectedto20/20vision.

• Abilitytomaneuverunderandoverequipmentaswellasclimbinto/outofthecabsutilizingstepsandladders.
• Constantsittingduringmachineoperation.
• Movingoveruneventerrain.
• Constantuseoffootandhandcontrols.
• Useoftrackspade/shoveltoclearmudfromthetracksandunderbellyofmachineasneeded.
• Movebarricades/sandbagstoclearareaasneeded.
• Abilitytostandandwalkaroundmachinewhencompletingpre-tripinspectionclearingunderbellyandthroughouttheworksiteonuneventerrain.
• Theemployeemustbeabletolift(includingaboveshoulderorhead)moveandcarryupto50poundsfrequently.
• Frequentlyrequiredtostandwalksitusehandstoinputinformationhandlecarry(withandwithoutassistance)feelobjectstools(ofvaryingsizeandweight)orcontrols.
• Frequentlyreachwithhandsandarmsclimbstairsbalancestoopkneelbendtwistcrouchorcrawltalkandhearandtasteorsmell.
• Specificvisionabilitiesrequiredbythejobincludeclosevisiondistancevisioncolorvisionperipheralvisiondepthperceptionandtheabilitytoadjustfocus.
• Frequentexposuretohighnoiselevels.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• General knowledge of the heavy highway construction industry.
• General knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
• Reliable Transportation.
