Successful candidates will have continuous and current experience as a Boilermaker in a petrochemical industrial or manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Functions:
Performs maintenance and installs equipment related to various types of towers heat exchangers heaters and plant piping to blueprint specifications using power tools and hand tools.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints to determine locations and relationship of parts.
• Drill and tap holes for installation of studs.
• Tighten bolts to assemble frames using power or hand wrenches.
• Bolts or screw accessories such as manholes hand holes fans gauges and valves to vessels.
• Replaces defective parts using power wrenches prying bars or hand tools.
• May perform general piping work such as line breaking installing blinds gaskets valves couplings and other fittings.
• May install equipment internals packings catalysts and desiccants in vessels.
• May perform basic rigging if necessary along with other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
Work days spent mostly outdoors may include extreme hot or cold weather conditions. Physical demands may include climbing about machinery climbing ladders catwalks and scaffolding and medium carrying (exerting 20-50 pounds of force frequently). May require working inside vessels in cramped and uncomfortable positions. Must be able to wear respiratory protective equipment.

This position requires a strong commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing is also qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
