Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Boiler Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance repair and troubleshooting of fire tube boilers. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge hands-on experience with industrial boilers and the ability to work across various shifts. The Boiler Mechanic will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our boiler systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance repair and service of 400hp to 1200hp fire tube boilers.
- Conduct inspections of boiler systems to identify potential issues wear or malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical and control system problems on boilers.
- Disassemble inspect clean and reassemble components such as burners tubes and pumps.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the optimal performance of boiler systems.
- Monitor boiler operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain safe and efficient performance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs maintenance schedules and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards while working on boiler systems.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics and apprentices.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency breakdowns and provide corrective actions.
- Ensure all work is performed according to safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of 400hp to 1200hp fire tube boilers and associated systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Physically capable of handling the demands of the position (lifting climbing etc.).
- Knowledge of safety standards procedures and regulatory compliance related to boiler systems.
- Valid drivers license (preferred depending on the companys requirements).
