Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for paint including sanding masking feather edging and priming
- Mix and match paint colors to manufacturer specifications
- Apply primer basecoat and clearcoat with attention to quality and consistency
- Perform spot repairs panel blending and full vehicle refinishing
- Inspect completed work for color match finish quality and imperfections
- Buff polish and complete final finish work as needed
- Maintain paint booth spray equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition
- Follow all manufacturer repair procedures and company safety policies
- Work closely with body technicians and estimators to ensure timely quality repairs
Requirements
- Previous automotive body shop painting experience required
- Ability to properly prep paint blend and finish vehicles to a high standard
- Experience with paint mixing and color matching
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
- I-CAR or ASE certifications preferred but not required
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
