Position Summary

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for the assessment development implementation and oversight of behavior-analytic treatment programs for individuals with autism and related developmental differences. The BCBA provides clinical supervision to RBTs/BTs collaborates with families and interdisciplinary teams and ensures services are ethical data-driven trauma-informed and aligned with best practices and payer requirements.

This role requires strong clinical judgment critical thinking and the ability to balance client outcomes with staff development and operational realities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Services

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) skill-based assessments and other relevant evaluations

  • Develop individualized function-based treatment plans that are socially valid and developmentally appropriate

  • Design and monitor skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs using evidence-based practices

  • Analyze data regularly to make timely and clinically sound treatment decisions

  • Ensure programming promotes assent dignity and client quality of life

  • Provide direct clinical services as needed based on client needs and funding requirements

Supervision & Staff Development

  • Provide ongoing supervision and training to RBTs/BTs in accordance with BACB and funding source requirements

  • Model ethical compassionate and effective clinical practices

  • Conduct performance feedback competency assessments and corrective coaching as needed

  • Support staff with behavior management co-regulation strategies and clinical problem-solving

  • Mentor supervisees pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification when applicable

Family & Team Collaboration

  • Partner with caregivers to provide parent training and support generalization of skills

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with families regarding progress barriers and expectations

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers (e.g. SLPs OTs educators) when appropriate

  • Participate in treatment team meetings and IEP meetings as needed

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate timely and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with BACB insurance and organizational standards

  • Ensure treatment plans progress reports and authorizations are completed within required timelines

  • Adhere to ethical standards outlined in the BACB Ethics Code

  • Follow all company policies procedures and confidentiality requirements

Professional Growth & Clinic Support

  • Stay current with research best practices and evolving standards in ABA

  • Participate in team meetings trainings and professional development activities

  • Contribute to a positive clinic culture that prioritizes learning accountability and clinical excellence

  • Support clinic initiatives as assigned by the Clinical Director

Required Qualifications

  • Current BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB

  • Masters degree in Behavior Analysis Psychology Education or a related field

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas

  • Experience conducting assessments and supervising RBTs/BTs

  • Strong analytical organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and manage clinical priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a home and/or clinic-based ABA setting

  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care assent-based practices and compassionate ABA models

  • Experience with insurance-funded services and authorization requirements

  • Leadership or mentorship experience

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to engage in active sessions including sitting standing bending and moving with clients

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

  • May require travel between clinic home or community settings
