BMG Electrician L3 / Channelview TX

LOCATION: Channelview- Texas-USA

DEPARTMENT:MAINTENANCE - MECHANIC / ELECTRIC

Purpose

Performs electric and electronic advanced maintenance inspections diagnosis and corrective actions performing systematic analysis of problems and improvement opportunities in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices complying with defined quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Commit with health safety and environmental policies and notify situations that present potential risk.
  • Ensure product quality complying with defined standards and reporting deviations.
  • Carry out duties in an efficient manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards in accordance with minimum costs.
  • Perform activities according to applicable procedures.
  • Complete and update all applicable records ensuring information accuracy and product traceability.
  • Ensure proper use of the company assets detecting and reporting malfunctioning.
  • Attend and collaborate in training activities in ordered to maintain and increase the company knowledge.
  • Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain a clean and ordered workplace.
  • Perform activities understanding their consequences on the global process.
  • Abide by Tenaris discipline norms.

Main Activities

  • Diagnose and repair issues with motor controls including contactors starters overloads relays and associated wiring.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) including parameter adjustments fault code interpretation wiring checks and drive replacements
  • Troubleshoot faults in PLC controlled machinery by checking field devices wiring and voltages to trace input to output paths.
  • Bend install and run various types of conduit (EMT rigid PVC flexible) using hand and power benders to precise measurements and codes.
  • Pull wire terminate connections and install electrical components panels junction boxes and fixtures in accordance with blueprints schematics and National
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections testing and documentation on electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Use multimeters megohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to test continuity voltage current insulation resistance and component functionality.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics blueprints one-line diagrams and equipment manuals to support troubleshooting and installations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams engineers and production personnel to resolve equipment issues quickly and safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed parts used and maintenance activities.
