Scope of Project:
The Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking two (2) Blazor UI Developers to support the modernization of its XPub platform by replacing the legacy Microcomp composition engine. The project focuses on Blazor Server development XML-driven document rendering JavaScript interoperability secure web application development and ongoing maintenance of modern web-based publishing applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Blazor Server UI components.
- Translate XML document structures into dynamic HTML.
- Implement JavaScript interop and browser DOM interactions.
- Develop secure client-side and server-side UI code.
- Follow CSS (BEM) and JavaScript coding standards.
- Work with Azure DevOps Git repositories.
- Resolve application defects and implement enhancements.
- Design UI architecture and interactive editing functionality.
- Review code and mentor development teams.
- Ensure compliance with Government coding and security standards.
Required/Preferred Skills:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience developing complex web-based applications.
- At least five (5) years of experience using C# JavaScript HTML and CSS in production environments.
- Advanced experience developing Blazor Server applications.
- Advanced experience with JavaScript interop and DOM-based UI manipulation.
- Strong understanding of XML-based document models including schema-driven content and structured document semantics.
- Experience defining or overseeing XML-to-HTML translation strategies for document-centric applications.
- Familiarity with industry-standard XML frameworks such as DITA DocBook or equivalent custom XML schemas.
- Resource shall possess at least one (1) of the following certifications or an equivalent certification approved by the Government:
a. Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
b. Microsoft Certified: .NET Developer (legacy or current equivalent)
c. CIW Advanced HTML5 & CSS3 Specialist
d. CIW JavaScript Specialist
e. Equivalent certifications may be accepted at the Government s discretion
