Job Summary

General Summary: A Birth through Five Specialist works to support early childhood caregivers guardians educators and families in promoting the healthy development of children from birth through age five. This role involves providing living skills coaching coordination of care parenting skills developmental screenings and community resources to improve early childhood education practices enhancing child outcomes and supporting healthy family Birth through Five Specialist is responsible for meeting their clients in childcare centers preschools in home and within the community helping to support and promote the healthy development of children from birth through five. This role involves working with children their families caregivers guardians and CFT teams to create and implement support services for the families caregivers and RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plan goals specific to the clients Birth-5 needs. Provide parenting skills to caregivers including but not limited to healthy attachment developmentally appropriate routines effective consequences and developmental a minimum of 30 hours of face-to-face direct support services to enrolled to clients is required including sessions in the home in the community schools or preschools or OH offices. Coach and support members of the clients clinical team regarding the clients strengths and developmental needs including social workers counselors and other professionals to ensure comprehensive client caseload with timely reviews of service assessments ROIs and client the clinical team maintain chart compliance. Assist and support the family in developing social and natural support networks by utilizing community home care training on topics such as early literacy social-emotional development and behavior family engagement strategies to help parents and caregivers create nurturing safe and predictable learning developmental assessments and observations to evaluate client needs and drive clinical individualized coaching plans to support caregivers educators and guardians in achieving their up to date with best practices in early childhood education and child development with schools childcare centers Head Start programs and community organizations to provide resources and complete in implementing state and federal early childhood education coaching sessions progress and outcomes for program evaluation and in Child and Family Teams meetings and provide feedback to the Child and Family Teams on clients progress strengths and needs. Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support as scheduled department and agency all agencies required trainings and 1:1 coaching supervision as assigned by to the agencys approved administrative time in actively assessing work area for non-compliance issues and notify supervisor in a timely manner to ensure follow all required documentation and billing requirements accurately and in the assigned time weekly updates and new interventions regarding client status to guardians. Complete monthly reports and distribute them to the CFT as a liaison between schools families and external support services to ensure coordinated in meetings and committees for continuous quality improvement as on-call coverage and crisis intervention/stabilization when other duties as assigned by :High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience working with children with a mental health degree with 2 years of experience working with children with a mental health degree or higher with 1 or more years of experience working with children with a mental health degree in behavioral health related field (i.e. Psychology family studies human development sociology etc.)Some experience with mental health experience as a behavior coach highly preferredBi-Lingual in Spanish :Must be 21 years of an Arizona drivers license and state mandated auto or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance be able to pass a 5-panel drug about this position Contact us
