Location

This is a fully onsite role basedat our Pleasanton CA office. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.

How will you make an impact

You will be part of the fast-paced and multi-disciplinary Microarray Research Services Laboratory (MRSL) group. We process many customer samples primarily using genotyping technology and are committed to providing the highest data quality and the best customer experience. By bringing your organizational analytical and communication skills you will help drive important research with real-world impact. You will be responsible for project management data analysis documentation and deliverable preparation for the scientific services teams customers for applications such as whole genome and/or targeting genotyping.

A Day in the Life

• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate smooth project progression and meet data delivery deadlines
• Respond to customer inquiries and proactively communicate project status to customers and sales team
• Learn and adapt to new tools and platforms and help troubleshoot issues on these systems
• Troubleshoot data quality concerns quickly and effectively to minimize impact on delivery timelines and costs
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders

Keys to Success

Education

B.S. in Computer Science or Bioinformatics or related field with 2 years of experience

Experience

• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environment including shell scripting
• Knowledge of genomics technology is a plus especially microarray
• Experience with R is a plus
• Experience with databases (especially PostgreSQL)- writing & optimizing queries functions views triggers is a plus

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Excellent cross-discipline communication and writing skills
• Project management skills strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Data Visualization interpretation of results
• Knowledge of genomics technology is a plus especially microarray
• Familiarity with GIT and code usage best practices preferred
