Biochemist (Upstream) Molecular Analytics

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform molecular assays including PCR (RT/qPCR dPCR) DNA/RNA isolation NGS library prep/sequencing and routine analyses (e.g. gel electrophoresis)
• Provide general lab support: inventory ordering/restocking primer/probe prep stock tracking plate filling/labeling
• Execute plate-based assays using aseptic technique
• Use automated systems and lab instruments to run assays and generate data
• Record results in electronic lab notebooks (eLN) and reports

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in life science concentration (chemistry biology or related fields) and 2-4 years of directly related industry experience or a MS/PhD degree in a life science concentration (chemistry biology or related fields) and up to 2 years of directly related industry experience.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

• Perform routine cell culture (shake flask passaging cell banking media prep BSC upkeep)
• Use data analysis software and AI tools for plasmid maps and cell line and cell culture characterization under client guidance

The ideal candidate would possess: 

• Experience with aseptic technique
• Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients selfmotivation adaptability and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies
• Proficiency in IT related skills such as Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint etc   

Additional Information :

• Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00PM. Overtime as needed. 
• May be requested to work on weekends overtime and holidays based on business needs
