Assisting Hands Home Care Merrillville is hiring a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide non-medical in-home care for a client in Lowell Indiana. The ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is required to support the clients daily care safety and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care including bathing dressing grooming eating ambulation and transfers according to the individualized Plan of Care
Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement
Maintain a clean and safe home environment through light housekeeping laundry dishwashing and organizing
Assist with mobility devices such as walkers and wheelchairs
Provide medication reminders (no medication administration)
Observe and report changes in the clients condition appearance or behavior
Maintain accurate records of services provided
Use our mobile app to clock in/out communicate with the office and complete care documentation
Follow infection control safety and agency policies and procedures
Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients families and team members

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish to meet client care needs
High school diploma or GED
Previous 2 years caregiving home care CNA HHA or related experience preferred
Reliable transportation valid drivers license and proof of auto insurance
Must pass a national background check
Current TB test or ability to obtain one
Dependable compassionate professional and client-focused

Job Details

Position Type: PRN or Part-Time
Schedule: Flexible; days evenings weekends and holidays may be available depending on assignment
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly
Location: Lowell IN
Reports To: Staffing Coordinator

Compensation: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
