BI Reporting Engineer

Were expanding our data engineering team to support a major reporting buildout for one of ourkey retail accounts. This person will own the full data lifecycle ingestion transformation andreporting to deliver trusted self-service analytics to the account team and their work across our modern data stack (Airbyte Snowflake dbt Qlik) in anenvironment serving 500 users and 150 production reports. This is a hands-on end-to-endrole: youll build the pipelines that move the data the models that shape it and the dashboardsthat put it in front of Youll DoBuild and maintain ingestion pipelines into Snowflake using Airbyte includingincremental/CDC patterns from source systems such as MSSQL/Azure SQL and SAP-sourceddataMaintain and extend custom data pipelines written in code and orchestrated through GitHubActions for example our cloud feeds pipeline currently runs as a Python script on ascheduled GitHub Actions test and document transformation models in dbt Core on Snowflake followingdimensional modeling best and build Qlik Sense reporting (both client-managed and Qlik Cloud) load scriptsset analysis master items and well-governed apps to support the accounts reporting directly with the account team to translate business questions into reportingrequirements focusing on areas like POS/sell-through replenishment inventory and data quality monitoring and reliability for the pipelines and reports you build and helpmaintain standards across the broader reporting to ongoing platform initiatives including the migration of legacy SAP BW reportingto dbt/ version control (Git) and follow established CI/CD and code review Qualifications4 years in data engineering analytics engineering or a closely related SQL skills and strong understanding of dimensional/data -on experience with dbt (dbt Core preferred) for transformation and experience with a cloud data warehouse Snowflake strongly with a modern ELT/ingestion tool (Airbyte Fivetran Stitch or similar) includingincremental and CDC-based building reports/dashboards in a modern BI tool; Qlik Sense strongly working independently across the full stack and communicating withnon-technical business QualificationsDeep Qlik Sense expertise: load scripting set analysis security rules and QMC administrationacross on-prem and Qlik or CPG domain experience especially with retailer data portals and syndicated/POSdata sources (e.g. Circana NielsenIQ) and EDI with SAP data ECC tablesStrong programming skills in Python or Scala for pipeline development automation and APIintegrations. We maintain custom pipelines (such as our cloud feeds pipeline) as Python scriptrun via GitHub Actions so comfort building and maintaining code-based workflows is a supporting a large multi-tenant reporting environment.
