Beyond the Bell TeacherJob DescriptionJob Overview:Highlander Charter School is seeking certified and motivated content teachers to facilitate and support our vision of Beyond the Bell. Beyond the Bell is an extension of the Highlander experience designed to expand access opportunity and pathways to success for all students. Through extended learning time community partnerships enrichment academic support and student-centered opportunities Beyond the Bell connects learning inside and outside the classroom to better meet the realities responsibilities interests and goals of our : Providence CampusPay Rate: $50 per hourThis is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of grant funding.*Hours and schedule will be determined based on student interest and Type: Part-Time / TemporaryResponsibilities:Implement Highlanders curriculum using high-quality standards-aligned materials to support students earning initial credit recovering credit or receiving tutoring and academic targeted direct instruction and support to students in identified content develop student-specific goals and benchmarks at the time of enrollment and update goals as needed to address continued student progress through regular check-ins providing timely feedback and grading to ensure students remain on track to meet their in collaborative planning time (e.g. specific allocated weekly hours) for program and maintain a positive supportive environment that encourages student engagement and academic with teachers and school-day staff to ensure appropriate interventions and support are provided during Beyond the Bell aligning seamlessly with daytime and coach students with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) needs throughout all interactions integrating these practices alongside restorative approaches during all sessions to build student regularly with school-day teachers students parents and school leadership regarding student progress and any challenges all required training sessions and program planning material and supply needs to the program accurate records of student attendance performance and grades utilizing student data management systems (e.g. Skyward Panorama MyFlex).Follow all district and school policies regarding instruction and student :Current Rhode Island teacher certification in the relevant content area(s) (e.g. English Math Science Social Studies etc.).Commitment to educational equity and experience working with diverse student populations particularly students of color multilingual learners and students with diverse learning working with students in an educational or extracurricular organizational communication skills and critical to work independently and collaboratively with staff students families and community partners. Passion for fostering student development through creative learning duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Student Support Systems or Secondary Principal. Reports to: Beyond the Bell Supervisor
