Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY The Behaviorist for the Clinical Community Response Program conducts in-home behavioral support and crisis prevention services for children and young adults (age 8 up to age 20). The Behaviorist conducts assessments and provides behavior training to clients and the families of clients who have intellectual disability and behavioral health needs. These clients experiencing significant disruption within the family home or returning to the family home post AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Must hold a masters degree in a related field (Psychology social work marriage and family therapy) and have a minimum of two years of experience providing positive behavioral supports to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental with functional behavioral assessments have a valid drivers license and access to reliable have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Conduct all services within the family home or community functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and develops positive behavior support safety planning and crisis and trains families on implementing positive behavior interventionsProvides clinical consultation to other in-home support providers and collaborates with in-patient hospitals (as needed).Develops transition plans to discharge which include the family in setting up appropriate on-going in-home case review meetings with Program Manager and to develop knowledge and understanding about the history traditions values family systems and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches skills and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
