Behavior TechnicianFull Time PositionSchedule: 4p - 12aPay Range: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour based on experienceSUMMARYThe Behavior Technician (BT) works under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support clients with traumatic brain injuries who display behavioral emotional and cognitive needs. The BT assists with implementing behavior support plans promoting healthy behavior practices facilitating environmental enrichment conducting healthy behavior observations and performing scheduled skill acquisition sessions. This position plays a vital role in ensuring BCBA-developed clinical strategies are consistently ResponsibilitiesBehavior Support ImplementationImplement individualized behavior support plans as directed by the and reinforce pro-social adaptive and trauma-informed behavioral appropriate de-escalation strategies during emotional or behavioral Behavior PracticesPromote and support daily routines such as personal hygiene hydration physical activity skill practice coping strategies and healthy social coaching related to emotional regulation coping tools and independence-based EnrichmentFacilitate structured and meaningful activities including sensory recreational cognitive-stimulation and life-skills environmental factors to reduce behavioral triggers and enhance comfort and & Healthy Practice ObservationsConduct regular observation periodsCollect accurate objective behavioral data and monitor engagement in healthy behavior antecedents behaviors consequences and environmental variables to support BCBA treatment coaching and feedback to direct care Acquisition Sessions (New Responsibility Added)Completeskill acquisition training sessions 12 times per weekfor clients identified as needing these BCBA-designed skill acquisition programs focused on functional skills daily living skills coping strategies or communication detailed session notes progress data and any barriers to skill acquisition activities occur during the assigned shiftfor & CommunicationMaintain regular communication with the BCBA regarding client progress challenges and any observed changes in in team debriefings training and clinical meetings as clear handoff communication at the end of each & ComplianceFollow all agency state and federal regulations regarding safety documentation and client crisis plans and behavior interventions as confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociates or Bachelors degree in psychology social work human services or related field is preferredPreferred experience in related fieldAt least one year of experience in behavioral health TBI support or related to collect accurate data and follow structured intervention communication skills and professionalism under Licenses and Registrations: Current CPR/First Aid Certification as required Valid drivers license in good standing.
