Job Summary
Lifesteps a Western PA non-profit agency is currently seeking a Full-time Behavior Specialist to work with individuals and participants who are assigned to Lifesteps community homes program. This new full-time position is based at our office in Eighty Four PA or in Castle Shannon PA (Pittsburgh). The role will travel throughout Allegheny and Washington Counties to provide services to adults with intellectual disabilities.
Job Duties:
- The Behavioral Specialist performs afunctional assessment and develops strategies to support a participantaccordingly.
- Provides on-site trainingto participants staff parents and caregivers and monitors participantsuccess.
- Develops effective behaviorsupport plans to be utilized by the care team and evaluates participantprogress.
The work hours are daytime Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Masters Degree in Human Services or a closely related field (Social Work Psychology Special Education Applied Behavior Analysis Behavior Therapy Education Child and Family Development etc.).
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.
- Current drivers license.
Preferred:
- Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis and experience working with adults with an intellectual disability
- ABA Certification
- PA Behavior Specialist Licensure
