Behavioral Health Technician (Mental Health)

• Oversee and support patients in daily activities.
• Transport patients to and from housing clinical settings and outside activities.
• Ensure clients are safe and act within our community standards and regulations when inside and outside of the clinical setting.
• Observe and monitor patients behavior mental status and physical condition.
• Communicate observations and concerns to the clinical team including psychiatrists psychologists directors and nurses.
• Encourage patients to participate actively in their own treatment and recovery process.
• Monitor patients when out in the community and regularly take attendance to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in therapeutic activities such as group therapy sessions recreational activities and educational programs.
• Participate as a team member in all team meetings while providing input and information regarding patient needs and requirements.
• Work as a part of the team demonstrating professionalism maturity under stress and objectivity.
• Act decisively efficiently and in accordance with established policies and procedures in emergency situations with staff and patients.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and ensure adherence to local state and federal regulations related to job responsibilities.
• Regularly monitor the urinalysis of patients as needed under the nurse or clinicians guidance.
• Communicate with the patient care team as needed to report positive or negative observations comments or concerns.
